Tree of Dreams

So. I drew this during the summer because... I love trees and I love swirls. So the Tree of Dreams was born XD
I had a lot of fun, it was relaxing to paint this. The inking not so much... I'm so used now to use pen and indian ink that going back to the tedious and impersonal liners was a real pain in the ass. But my brand of liquid ink is not waterproof so it was forbidden T.T

I actually painted with watercolours the tree only; all the pretty colours in the background are my first attemp to... texturizing? Is that the word? Anyway, you know what I mean XD when you have something that is pretty plain and you try to make it a bit more interesting with textures.
Don't know what to think about it, I just know that there are amazing artist (like *kidchan ) who can do beatiful works with textures and that I want to cop ahem learn from tham REAAAAAALLY badly >.<
